I dont think there are to many hookers at highschool, they seem to be found more in brothels and on street corners than highschools. Size varies, depends on your tastes really!!!!!

Sorry, it would depend on ur front row i guess, bigger the front row the bigger ur hooker usually needs to be to balance the scrum.

People often use the term "rugby" to refer to rugby league, especially yanks and poms. I played union for 4 years aswell. League for 15 and still going.

None just yet And yes I do think I am talented... its called confidence and self belief.

Funny.... what team gets the most international coverage.... the union side. Which one gets more TV coverage all over the world... Union, and even Aussie Rules gets more coverage.

Ask any Yank about rugby and he/she will most likely say "the game with scrums"... that is Union not league.

I'm 19 wtf you expect me to have played in NRL already ? lol.

NRL draws bigger crowds than Super12. Its TV ratings absolutely ANNIHILATE Super12. Union doesn't even have a decent CLUB competition. Haha it wasn't even on FTA tv thats how much people care about it.

BTW league has scrums aswell. Most Americans actually can't tell the difference between union and league thats how much they know about the respective games.

On a domestic team level, league gets more viewers & supporters than union domestic games.

    HOWEVER....

Union on an international scale gets an absolute ****load of viewers & supporters.

Then of course there is AFL (Aussie Rules) which essentially is just played by victorians and the odd QLD'er and SA'er.
    Form is strength!

nrl draws bigger crowds? most teams would be lucky if they average 6,000 a season lol i'm sure the brumbies, reds and waratahs could match that

its TV ratings absolutely ANNIHILATE Super12? you sure about that

Union doesn't even have a decent CLUB competition? well you've just proven how little you know lol

Leaguie gets 4 games a year with 3 million people watching it on tv.

Thats 4 more than any Union game.

The biggest Union game in Aus every year between the Wallabies and the All Blacks gets beat by the Kangaroos,

The NRL competition has over 185 games a year in Australia averaging nearly 17,000 people, it adds up to over 3 million people through the gates, Union, doesn't even crack 1 million.

Did you know that one game of State of origin got more ratings than the whole season of S12 last year even with the Tahs in the final?

Do u know why RL is on TV?

It's because its popular, RU is not, it is a minority sport, hence, TV stations will not touch it with a barg pole.

Why do you think that the S14 is not on FTA tv?

It's because on Fox Sports, they average 33,000 veiwers a week, the NRL averages 1.1 million a week and hold the top 20 positions on PAY tv.

Union and League scrums are a tad bit different... should have clarified that. Plus scrums happen in Union every 5 seconds as opposed to League.

I like both games, I played League and enjoy playing it, I just think Union is a better product and a more exciting game.

It's because on Fox Sports, they average 33,000 veiwers a week, the NRL averages 1.1 million a week and hold the top 20 positions on PAY tv.
yes and tony cochran thinks 100 billion people watch v8 supercar races LOL

an average of 17,000 people is an interesting figure when you consider the number of empty seats at every nrl game. a league test draws a bigger crowd than a union test? http://www.smh.com.au/news/League/40...152327452.html guess not huh

cool I play rugby. I played outside center, but I gained about 30 lbs. in mostly muscle. So either I need to lose 25 lbs fast or I need to change positions. Any ideas?

ummmm man no offense but you are very very wrong... i absolutely love my league and my union.. but there is no wayyy league is as popular as union is in australia.. the tah's easily draw in 30+ thousand ppl at aussie stadium every home game they play, league will only draw that kinda crowd in a semi final or final game.. most season games are only filled with 20thousand max if they are lucky... the roosters *which are the team i've been following my whole life* got an average of 18thousand ppl at there games last year which was 2nd or 3rd in the nrl behind the knights with about 20 odd thousand.... so there is no way they match the crowds the union pulls in....

as for there club competition have u ever watched the super 14 man... obviously not.. its played between teams from aus, nz and south africa and is broadcast in those countries aswell and im sure in other countries..

rugby union is on tv aswell chanel 7 has the rights to the super 14 comp i think and fox sports has the rights aswell to broadcast a few live games a week....

and in terms of international recognisation.. most ppl in the world dont know what rugby league is.. the league internationals are between eng and nz big woop..... union teams play against nz, eng,sa,ireland, scotland, wales, italy, france, samoa,f iji, argentina and many more.. so world wide union is more popular.

Well how heavy were you to start with ? If you still have the same speed and footwork i suggest you stay in the same position if not you should start thinking about a foward position.

Union is greater international. Nationally i think its pretty even. And if you ask a yank what rugby is they wouldn't know the difference between union or league. They just know you throw the ball backwards or they wouldn't even know what the hell rugby is.

I weighed 160 when i played last year. I weigh 193 right now and I'm a little taller. I dont think I could get back down that low again. Im kinda confused because I dont really want to be in the scrum, eff that. My love is running and tackling the **** out of people.
