You CAN Get Everything from 3 Squares a Day and Still Get Yoked.. Here's PROOF..

In plain English: Prisoners get HUGE in prison and they only eat three meals a day. Most only have access to a barbell, dumbells, a bench and a chin up bar. Most of 'em workout 7 days a week and run around the yard. Have you seen some of these guys?

All jokes aside, do we REALLY need all of these supps, odd machines and crap all of these marketers are trying to cram down our throats?

Just imagine what some of the prisoners would look like after a cycle of 1-AD or ONE+!!

They enhance and add too (hence the word supplement) what is already there. That's it.

Until they (the person in question) reaches their natural potential, yes it is possbile. After that you will need some sort of supplementation. That said it is possible to reach your natural potential and go beyond it with greater speed and "health" with supps rather than with out.

Furthermore, your idea that by eating "3 squares" a day you can get what you need to train and perform at optimal performance is sadly misguided. The food quality in the industrialized nations is so nutrient defficient that it is nearly impossible to get all that you need from food today. More so it could not be achieved in 3 meals regardless; at least 6 meals would be needed.

The ones in jail who are big were already big before they got locked up. No one is going to jail and putting on 30 pounds of muscle, but if they do it's from drugs. You can get every other drug in prision why not some oral steroids

It's very possible to put on 20 or more pounds without the use of anything but food and hardwork while in prison or otherwise. They were not necessarily big before they got there or at least not as big as they are today. Protein and hardwork will pack on pounds, especially in those predisposed to easy gains.

No offense, but if you think drugs are not available in prison, you are naive.

Drugs are abundantly available in prison(like Al said) and not all prisons have commisaries. Some only have vending machines instead. Regardless, the kind of food that is available frome either commisairies or vending machines is not usually quality, nutrient rich food that would aid someone in a quality bulking program....

I used to work at a Medium Security Prison and let me tell you all, they do put on 20-30 lbs in there. But!, the have all damn day to workout. When was the last time all you had to do in a day was concentrate on getting ripped. I know most of us have jobs or school to deal with.

I say big ****ing deal if they can get big naturally.

    Here's a question:

If you could get big as you want in 3 years but you had to be in prison would you do it? I think not!

Thats kinda easy. I think it's a lot tougher doing it on the outside where people with responsibilities in a civilized world are at.

    Marjoh,

This may be only one man's opinion but I think many will agree.

The question was whether or not supps were necessary. Hence the dialogue about all natural growth (food only) vs. supplemented growth.

One theroy I heard about this which makes a lot of sense to me is that the environment has a lot to do with it. The human body is a wonderfully adaptive machine, and from what I understand, due to the atmosphere in prison (relativly constand danger, possibility of fights, etc) and the pretty much 100% male population, your body adapts to this stressful situation of agression by raising its own natural test levels.

I do not have any scientific doccument handy that shows this, but it was a theroy I read a while back that made a lot of sense to me. The higher test levels would of course, result in greater muscle gains.

    Just a thought.

here's one theory as well: criminals tend to display more aggresive behavior than regular law-abiding folks, some say it's indicative of higher test levels.

and also, i've know guys who eat badly, drink booze and smoke pot all the time and still grew really fast pretty big w/o any supplements. you have the genetics, work hard and eat enough u'll grow...

i personally grow much better on prohormones & supps like that... as for protein powders & creatine, i think those might be just bull****, i might stop using them.

It is a fact that you need protein to grow muscle. Steroids and Pro-hormones help your body synthesize and utilize it better. And creatine has been pretty well accepted as affective as well. But you make some good points also.

I saw a study back in one of my classes that showed there is no elevation in aggression among people with higher test levels. it was a double-blind study, and the group that was given test actualy displayed slightly less aggression.

OK, if we are going to offer studies to make a point, then we must produce them. Who performed this study? What was the group? Etc. etc. ???

I digress to whatever degree I don't understand this stuff!

Plasma alcohol, smoking, hormone concentrations and self-reported aggression. A study in a social-drinking situation.

Dotson LE, Robertson LS, Tuchfeld B.

Plasma alcohol concentrations and the number of cigarettes smoked by men during social-drinking situations were significantly related to change in testosterone levels. Age, height, plasma alcohol and smoking were related to self-reports of prior assault and verbal aggression. Agression was not related to testosterone concentration

Wow.. what a fascinating thread. Thx for all the input.

"..your body adapts to this stressful situation of agression by raising its own natural test levels..."

This is indeed noteworthy. I heard something related that held adrenalin levels increase in a prison environment as well and somehow that TOO is tied to test levels..? It actually DOES kind of add up if you think about it. I've also found it's easier to get VERY intense sets in if I'm PISSED OFF.. which most prisoners are.

As for drugs in prison, well, I'm not that naive - thank God. I understand drugs make the rounds in the pen' .. though I don't know how many dudes are getting away with sticking needles in their asses.

I also like the point about how it is more difficult to work out on the "outside" where life is more stressful, etc, and therefore sup's ease some of that burden. Good point.

I'm still trying to decide if i want to start using prohormones, etc.

    Thanks again to all

I disagree with OP's assessment of them getting "3 square meals" a day. My neighbors brother just got out of the pen and he's gigantic. They fed him nothing but super carb & processed meat filled meals. The food was worse than Fast Food, and on top of that he didn't get nearly enough to put on bulk, and wasn't able to get any "supplements" illegally. He's ripped to ****ing shreds because he literally worked out all day. But if you saw him you'd think he was on a super strict diet and did everything 100% right. He literally ate Bologna sandwiches, hot dogs & fake brownies.

I think that genetics play a huge role in how naturally jacked you can get. I believe those same jacked up prisoners would still be able to get just as big on the outside.
