    Going back to boxing DIET

Im going to go back to boxing in a few weeks,i need a weight loss diet though during that time.

ill be training 6 days a week in boxing.

    BOXING DIET
    IF DOING MORNING WEIGHTS
    1) 20g whey + 40g cereal + 2 small bananas

    2) Weights

Non weights day from here onwards.
    3) 40g whey +40g oats

    4) 100gTuna + veg 30g nuts

    5) 200g rice + 20g whey + 4 whole eggs (adjust rice if feeling too weak)

    6) Boxing ? drink electrolyte throughout

    7) 200g rice + 20g whey + Beef stew (adjust rice if feeling too weak)

    8) 2 weetabix in water + fruit

    9) 100g Tuna + 10 fish oils

    10) 30g nuts

I cant get that accurate on the protein but i know its over 250g and less than 300g

calories is in the range of 3300 fat is in the 90g range roughly carbs 340g ish.

I know often high protein isnt recommended for boxing and so on, but i want to be a heavyweight and be muscular (NOT BODYBUILDER) build.
i think with the increased protein and carbs around meals this might be possible.

    any good input welcome. thanks

no, lol i wish i could but my lust to get back in the boxing gym is outweighing common sense. so ill go in and puke my guts up hahaa.
oh well, i know whats involved anyway so ill just have to deal with it. hopefully if i eat right i will get fit faster.

what i will do thoug for the next 4 weeks is some cardio and weights, maybe some handspeed training.

Im not going to spar as soon as i get in the gym (says that now but shall see)

    how about you?

actually you are doing the right thing by going to the gym and get in shape there....that way you also get your rythem and timing down while you are making weight....

I plan on droping 20 before going back.

    Where you from?

im from london mate,uk, im guessing you are in the states, alot more boxing gyms out there i bet. lukily for me i have one within walking distance from me. so ill be going there.never been to that one before, was always in a different part of london before.
Kind of scared kind of excited. i boxed for years and years before, then stopped and got really fat, well done me.
I think the diet is going to make a real difference though, i hope what i have planned is going to work, ill just play around with the amount of rice to get cals in order.

Yes, I am from the states. Louisville,ky actually. Home of Ali, jimmy ellis, greg page and a few other world champs. Not much of a boxing scene here though believe it or not. In louisville that is.

Like 3 boxing gyms. That's it. Sad really. Ali doesn't give anything back.

My two cents, coming from a boxing and martial arts along with weight lifting backround....

Eat a balanced heathy diet that will give you the energy you need to fight. Nothing is worse than fighting when you lack energy. Due to all the high endurance excerise assicated with boxing, high carb will work well. Also keep your protein levels high, but no more than 1g per BW. This will also keep some muscle during all the moments your heart is pounding in the ring.

All and all, i think you got the right idea.

My recommendation, from an MMA guy, would be to simply establish your baseline diet for weight loss that you would eat to lose the weight you want to independent of any activity. One that's done, add calories to your diet in the form of carbohydrates for all the calories you'll burn during your endurance activities.
