    Will I give up?

Hi, I haven't been here for years. I started working out a month ago. I hired a trainer to motivate me, but he left for a month and I find it hard to motivate myself. One of the reasons to go to the gym is that I am going to the beach in September, but the deeper issue is I've never been in such a bad shape - my arm gets tired when I talk on the phone...I am 39 now. At 29 I had such amazing results from working out 4 times a week and eating clean. So many things have happened in these 10 years.
So yesterday I worked out for like...20 min. I got angry at the gym - it was so hard! I hated it - my self talk got so negative I couldn't control it - "You can't do this. You're too old - it makes no sense. You can't change. You should accept yourself the way you are."
For more than a year I danced salsa - it's fun, but it doesn't develop my body so I quit for now. A couple of hours after the pathetic work out yesterday I felt so great! I read once that a bad work out is better than no work out. And I decided to go to the gym again tomorrow and catch up on the exercises I skipped yesterday. I don't know if I will do it. Planning a great productive day before I go to bed is easy - waking up and keeping up to the promises I make to myself are extremely tough.
