    Benedikt Magnusson's raw deadlift record

    Deadlift - 461 kg (1016 lbs) - the most someone ever deadlifted raw

    Is it me or it seems like he could add more weight?
    - it takes one second for the setup, he just puts his feet there and starts pulling
    - the speed on the positive is quite fast
    - the lockout seems easy
    - the negative is controlled
    - he smiles on the lockout like there is no biggie {how dare he? - or she, I don't assume gender, of course}

    I like to learn from the mistakes of the people who take my advice.

    I don't know, the way his leg sort of spasmed on the way up looked pretty maximal to me, but he certainly did charge it. Just because he did it quickly doesn't mean it wasn't maximal, but it did look clean and smooth nevertheless.

    Cool reference though. I've read this record but never saw it until today.
    Bench: 320
    Squat: 405
    Deadlift: 505

    Maybe, but he knows what he's doing (that 1 second setup is a bar roll) & if it's not obvious, knows how to put on a show. Doubt that was easy for him.
