Weight classes start at 97 lbs and go up to 308, then 308+ (Super Heavy weight). There's some monsters out there (Dan Bell, Julius Maddox). Also depends where you live, there are tons of Powerlifting gyms. This is a great time to be a powerlifter.
Best Meet lifts: S:775 B:605 D:555 Total:1905 (220, equipped, drug free)
Best Raw (gym lifts): S:540 B:380 D:515

Some Powerlifters are huge and lean. Don't always have the insertions to make it big in bodybuilding but certainly have the size. Larry wheels for example.

Powerlifters generally tend to be heavier and more muscular than bodybuilders. Bodybuilders go for the aesthetic look, and powerlifters prefer the raw strength/power aspect which means more fat and weight.
Don't have the rank to post links, but check out these two videos on Youtube for a good size comparison of super elite bodybuilder vs super elite powerlifter doing the same exercise:

"Ray Williams Raw Squat World Record 490kg/1080lbs!""I'm not here to talk, I'm here to lift."
