    Joyflexing, a new method to fight sedentarism

Many teachers are unable to clearly convey the contents, confusing students in their role and objectives, causing them to comply with their schedule without knowing why and for what, doing only what the teacher asks or imposes. When performing the movements, students do not mentalize and do not question the need for action, classes fail to value the cognitive, affective, ethical, social, psychological and physiological aspects of the individuals in question, not letting them feel the reason and purpose of the body practice defended by Physical Education, making it impossible for it to gain new recognition. Johnson, 2001 refutes this standardization warning that the human being needs new techniques that provide pleasure and meet the needs of the body.
    In this new reflection, it is questioned whether the Joyflexing method created by the American Ray Johnson is applicable in Physical Education classes and, if it contributes to the reduction or elimination of the degree of sedentary lifestyle, and hypothetically, described by the author, the new method guarantees good results since it is carried out through healthy, voluntary and pleasurable actions.
    This research aims to analyze whether the Joyflexing method helps in the fight against sedentary lifestyle, as well as to conceptualize the terms sedentary lifestyle and Joyflexing method, to identify the sedentary lifestyle index among girls aged 11 to 17, from Elementary and High School enrolled in a private school in city โ€‹โ€‹of Gama/Brasilia-DF, classify the factors that lead to a sedentary lifestyle, diagnose the application, acceptance and result of the Joyflexing method and identify whether the method contributes, in addition to the physical, to increase social values.
    To set up the study, some delimitation issues were necessary, such as: the definition of a sedentary lifestyle and physical activity, the role of Physical Education, the frequency of classes, the political pedagogical influence of the school, the need for the body to move, the factors that lead to sedentary lifestyle, the consequences of sedentary lifestyle, the social influence - media, government and family, the sedentary lifestyle index found, the definition of Joyflexing, the benefits of the method, the application of the method, what is expected of the method and if the method contributes to the society. To reach the degree of sedentary lifestyle, it was necessary a questionnaire with closed questions referring to the definition of the term sedentary lifestyle, performance in the Physical Education class, extra-school activities, way of getting to school and if you have disease(s) and, for the result, After the application of the new method, another closed questionnaire was presented containing questions about the method that best meets the needs of the body, if the Joyflexing method brought benefits, what are they, if the research participant changed her means of transport to school and if you started to perform some extra-school physical activity. To certify the student's motor development, a physical flexibility test was applied.
    The present study aims to refer to Joyflexing in favor of new techniques to be applied in Physical Education classes to reduce sedentary lifestyle, and to favor physical fitness in a playful and non-impositional way, since sedentary students live in comfort, without intellectual development. and with behavioral inhibition. The research focuses on females because they are the most sedentary and have peculiar characteristics of less privileged motor development, in addition to showing a lack of interest in physical practice in class. When a method of physical activity has a defined objective, it becomes very relevant to any activity and if it is aimed at a better quality of life, the role of the method gains even greater importance. Thus, the application of the new technique takes dimensions that go beyond the physical aspects and the results may indicate which paths School Physical Education can take to improve and guarantee the quality of life of its academics.
