Does this happen to you - and if so, do you take offense to this?
As far as I can tell, the signs of being on gear are shoulders that look capped and a larger neck. I am lacking in both departments.

I think for some, the dividing line is anyone who can lift more or who looks more ripped than them, is clearly on.
I consider it a compliment, but I remember a Chris Jones video where he took offense. Chris has a natural look and is a genetic freak.6'4" 204 lbs

IRL I think it'd only be offensive if you ask some DYEL guy if he's on something, since it'd be for mocking purposes.
On the Internet / social media where these Qs/accusations actually happen more frequently, I guess it'd be offensive since you're questioning someone's professional credentials, work ethic, integrity, etc.

Do I look like I'm on gear? My wife found some gear in a rental property. The guy that left it was about 5'5" and 110 pounds. He wanted it back and said it was from his horse in Mexico.
Furnished rental houses in Coffeyville Kansas. Bills paid, weekly rates, full kitchens, washer/dryer, cable/wifi. For traveling workers.

I would take it as a compliment for sure.
So many whiners that don't believe anyone stronger, more disciplined, or more jacked than them can be natty. It's never too late!

It's funny too when you live a clean, healthy lifestyle when you get older and people swear that you have to be on gear to be jacked in your 40s and 50s. They're just mad their T levels are low because they eat like crap, drink too much and can't stay dedicated... so they have to justify everyone else's success and their failures by saying it has to be gear.Age: 42

i’m 71 people sometimes people give me a look like I must be on something at least testosterone replacement. I am just now starting on having some pea powder mixed with rice powder so that I get more of a complete protein. Plus I am vegan. no dairy cheese, anything animal products. I’ve been working out at Gold’s Gym or World’s Gym since 1978. The manager of Gold’s Kent Kuehn said come on in. I never left. Over the years there were times when I couldn’t find the gyms but the muscles remembered when I got back…Rich

The exact opposite problem, people can't believe I even train, let alone hard and consistently year after year, an extreme form of the DYEL look.
Sadly this comment isn't false modesty and humour, srsFaith in Jesus first and faith in squats second.
Then other details will start to slot themselves into place.

There's looking good with your shirt off and looking good with your shirt on - two different things. If you are lean with shirt off, then I'm sure people will not be confused. Wearing a somewhat baggy shirt, yes people might just think you're skinny. Repped for your tag line.

It's a double edged sword
On one hand, I take it as a compliment. People thinking that my condition has to come from help...kinda nice knowing it's natural and from hard work, training knowledge, diet knowledge etc...
Other hand...they're taking away my hard work, training and diet knowledge by accusing/assuming I'm "cheating"2017 OCB Men's Physique Open 4th place
