    Starting the journey

I am a food addict. Its been getting much worse. I'm 5 ft and about 150 lbs. I want to be fit. I struggle with getting my workout in,
not because of time. Plain and simple I struggle with excuses. Does anyone else face this? How do you push through this?

If paying for personal training sessions will give you incentive to show up at the gym, maybe try that for a start.

5' and 150 lbs isn't even that bad, I work with people who are close to your height and weigh twice as much as you.

Remember nobody is motivated all the time, only discipline will help you succeed when motivation fails you. If you're making up excuses, then you need to ask yourself if you really want to change or not?
All it takes is consistency, effort, proper nutrition, good programming, and TIME.

Don't be upset with the results you didn't get from the work you did not do.

I want to get toned up. My excuses mainly revolve around am I worth it. Am I worth the effort. I know its a mental struggle but its the truth.

Almost everyone has this struggle. To be honest, most people never end up reaching their fitness goals, or even get close to them.

    The key is essentially to:

    1) Actually make up your mind, that you want to reach your goal and you're willing to do what it takes, and
    2) Create a habit and make it easy on yourself, and then once it gets harder (life gets in the way, motivational changes etc), realize that your fitness journey is so essential to your happiness and wellbeing that you simply cannot ever give it up.

Most people start with a fitness goal, be it lose weight, gain muscle or anything in between, keep at it for a week, two weeks, maybe even a year. Then something happens that makes them lose interest in it, stop counting calories, stop going to the gym etc. And then they gain weight, lose their gains over a period of time. Sometimes 6 months, other times year and years later. Then, inevitably, they realize they want to be fit and happy. So they're back on the horse. Realizing that this process will happen over and over again until you actually dedicate yourself to the fitness LIFESTYLE, which often is just a matter of hitting the gym anywhere from 3-7 days a week for 45min to 2hrs per day, and controlling your food intake.
    390 back squat
    240 bench press
    500 deadlift
