My son is 17, been lifting for a while and looking for a good protein/meal replacement supplement. (Yes I know whole food is the best and he is trying to get as much as he can but between work and school he just doesn't have as much time and is basically bound by whatever his mom cooks that day plus school lunch). I've read that creatine, which is included in the whey protein powder I buy, can be bad for those under 25, and there are warnings as well on the MRE meal replacement I've been using so I'm just wondering what would be safe for someone his age. Thanks in advance!
I can't see why it would be, all of those things are just processed food products. Not sure why the label advice exists but the usual motivation is to mitigate any legal liability that could arise.
I would learn to find less processed food items if possible, just takes a little planning.

Thank you, and I figured it would be something like that but I just wanted to be safe. I was just hoping someone would know what some safe protein and/or meal replacement powders would be for teenagers because of what I've read about creatine. Less processed is always best of course but he works almost every day so between that, school and his workouts really doesn't have time for meal prep beyond what his mom cooks for dinner.
