    Question Burning off protein?

I'm trying to shred for summer (Australia) and was curious if burning calories also burns off protein? For example, if I had a 200g protein throughout the day, then burned off 200 calories, would my protein intake remain as 200g for the day?

edit: sorry, I think I get the question more accurately. Unless you're doing a considerably excessive amount of cardio or resistance training throughout the day, then protein will not be burned for energy usage to the point where you should consume more than anyone else consumes relative to one's own body weight. You should just record how much you eat either way, and if you do start to burn protein, then it's just on you to eat more protein and record that as well.

200 grams of protein isn't going to burn off unless you're doing 2+ hours of cardio per workout. If you're training with regular rest and getting .7 g of protein per pound of body weight a day from a general diet then it is very unlikely that there will be any depletion issues.

200g of protein is 800 calories.

Most of your calories in the day are burned just from being alive and breathing (called your BMR).

Non exercise activity (NEAT) like walking, doing laundry, etc. make up addtional calorie burning during the day.

Exercise (EAT) typically makes up a small portion of your calories burned, contrary to popular thought.

Lastly, calories are burned from digesting the food you ate (TEF).

In a caloric deficit the body typically burns glycogen (carbs) first, then fats, and then protein so the chances of burning protein is probably the lowest.

    Your question makes no sense

Your output doesn’t effect your input

You could burn 1000000 calories and it doesn’t mean you didn’t consume a certain amount.

Um does it matter? I highly doubt you even need anywhere near 200g protein

I'll translate for the tards: "I eat protein for the muscles. If I burn protein for energy, how much more protein do I need to eat?"
Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?
