    Rest inbetween sets

    Im just wondering if 60 seconds in between sets is enough?

    Its not if you are working with 80%+ of your 1rm, that requires a few more minutes.

    In between sets lately I've been measuring, cutting or welding re-bar. Each of those 3 things takes about 2 minutes.

    Hoping on a stationary bike between sets would be good too, but not even most gym goers have that luxury.

    I'm a 2-3 min kind of guy.
    Read a study that showed better gains resting 3 minutes in-between sets vs 1minute.
    I usually start at 2 min. 3 if its really rough on me.

    I tend to pyramid up in weight usually, so the only real breaks I take are when i'm changing plates for the next set, then I go again. I used to rest between sets but I found i'd start to lose a bit of my active rhythm, and the next set seemed to become more difficult. I like to keep it movin.

    I rest until my heartrate drops below 100 for compounds, which I do first. Below 110 for accessories. Been doing this for about a year and it's worked well.
