    Band assisted squats

    Anyone here use them?
They are for getting assistance at the bottom of the squat.
For those adding weight, they are attached to the bar and the top of the squat rack. (My gym squat racks are topless, but they do have pegs.)
For those using body weight, people hang onto handles as they lower. That seems perfect for me, except some days my arms or forearms are torched.

For chinups, the strap goes under your chins and hangs from the bar.

    My question is,
if I could use a chinup strap and sit down into it. Do you think the strap digging into my glutes would be an issue as they are active in the squat? Might it make them relax?

I do know that grabbing onto a Smith machine bar and using arm assistance takes more muscle control than I have. I wonder if a similar problem would happen sitting into the strap.
