Checking In Saying Hello, Recent Pics, Volume Graph

Hello everyone! It looks like it has been 8 months since I last came to the forum but I wanted to stop and check in. I am lifting but still basically in maintenance mode for the last two years. I am still tracking every workout in my spreadsheet and in the attached graph you can see my weekly set volume from when I started in 2017 until now. Year 1 was a ton of cardio and a little lifting and then I hit it real hard in years two and three while lifting 3 to 4 days per week and I went two full years without missing a single workout in that timeframe. The last two years I have backed off on purpose to pursue other hobbies and am only lifting twice per week as I am now content on just being healthy (and have missed several workouts in the last two years).

I have have lost a little size and also been more relaxed on my diet and have gained some fat especially around the waistline. I think this is partly due to less volume and a more relaxed diet but I also wonder how much of it is due to age as I will be 54 years old in a few months and as we age we definitely have a tendency for fat to accumulate more around the middle. I am still happy with how I look and most importantly my cholesterol, blood pressure etc... all remain in a very healthy range since I lost the 60+ pounds now over 3 years ago. Here are a couple pics from the last few weeks:

This summer was my 2nd year competing in archery competitions and at the state level I won the 50+ class in two different series and placed 2nd in a third organization.

PS. The guy who runs the Ohio Archers Association is just over 60 years old and is jacked! Makes me look skinny and is why I laugh when people think I may be on something as I am not that big.

Hope everyone is doing well, I read through some of the forum and see a few of the regulars from a couple years ago still posting regularly.

On Monday I recorded a set of squats from a new angle but instead of posting it here I think I will start another thread for a "form check". Later!
Bodybuilding is much more than an hour in the gym a few days a week---it's a lifestyle that changes all your perceptions about how to live, eat, and rest. It feeds the mind as much (and sometimes more so) than the body.
