Question Eat balanced meals and still lose fat?

Can i eat all my meals with protein carbs and fats or do I need carb free meals to allow for bodyfat to be used? From what I have read and seen fitness gurus recommend, many of them seem to have atleast some carb free meals for steady insulin and allow for bodyfat to be used. Im under the impression that if you eat carbs throughout the day there is no room for bodyfat to be utilized for energy.

This is incorrect - if you are in a net caloric deficit day after day, you will lose weight.

there is no back door access to stored body fat. Fat loss is a product of a consistent weekly calorie deficit over time and nothing more so don’t complicate things

Calories in vs Calories out - burn more then you eat and keep it simple and you will see results.

Tracking macros is only really necessary if you're looking for a specific physique goal, and or, competing professionally.

    Agree with all the above.

Carbs, especially sugars, can have a strong influence on hunger levels. If you find yourself hungry often you should focus on eating enough protein/fat and complex carbs. But if the sole thing you are worried about is fat loss, the only thing that matters is the overall balance of calorie intake vs expenditure.

Macros are far less important than the calories. Protein usually is more satiating than carbs, and helps you with eliminating cravings. But there is nothing wrong with eating carbs, just don't eat too many.

You need to be in a calorie deficit.

    Insulin doesn't make people fat.

If insulin and carbs were the enemy, does that mean you could eat in a surplus, 500 calories over maintenance, and not put on any fat as long as you avoid carbs and keep insulin low?

    Of course not.

You could have 40% of you calories coming from carbs and still lose weight.

Prioritize protein and a calorie deficit, fill in the rest of your diet with carbs and fats. If you're afraid of carbs, at least have them pre and post workout. Then leave them out for your remaining meals and have more fat instead, along with protein and veggies.
