    Underappreciated Dish?

    What's a dish you think gets a bad wrap and deserves more credit?

    I went out with some friends last night and had some delicious eggplant parmesan. For whatever reason, it's one of my favorites, but most people don't seem to like it.
    Bench: 315
    Squat: 335
    Deadlift: 475

    if it's layered thin, cooked right with no seeds it's serious flavor

    most people don't know how to eat

    my siblings and i grew up in a home where dinner was an event every night. add to that my dad owned a couple restaurants...so did his brother and my moms brothers. food is all we gathered for. i never had mcdonalds until age 12-13.

    how i don't have a huge belly is beyond me, it was (and still is whenever i visit my parents) about food.

    oh, and for me i feel lamb chops are seriously under rated.

    Indeed, eggplant parmasean, home made pickled eggplant, lamb chops, liver, whole belly clams, octopus, scungilli salad and here's another two to irk the mainstream crowd...sufrite and lengua which are actually very good and heavily underrated.

    The thing about eggplant parmesan is it can be really good or really bad. Whereas chicken parmesan is hard to screw up, if eggplant parmesan has tough eggplant and soggy breading its horrible. If the eggplant is soft and has crispy breading then its really good.

    No but I will admit I read a T-Nation article about liver tabs about 3 years back. At the time I had a nagging calf pull that I feel liver tabs helped with. As mentioned in the other thread I've had raw liver in various forms but right now the supplements are most convenient.

    Man, last time I had a good Reuben was right before Carnegie Deli closed down. They served the big open faced one. thats another thing thats hit or miss, seems most places get them wrong unless its a real jewish deli.

    I’ve never eaten shark but I agree with your agreement and your additions otherwise...

    This is true, assuming it's done right...however some people screw it up and I hate when some people leave the skin on, it's lazy and not even really meant to be eaten...kinda like when people undercook broccoli rabe it's meant to be cooked soft, not to be nearly unedible.
