    Biggest/proudest bench milestone

What is your (or what you think to be) biggest mile bench milestone?
I was having a conversation with someone that just hit 140lb for a set of 1 and he was saying that he heard 135lb is a big or very important mile stone for most people.
I personally think the biggest milestone is 225lb. Something about feels like the point where you arnt a beginner anymore. I haven’t hit 315lb yet (PR is 270), but I don’t think it’ll have the same feel as hitting 225lb for the first time ever.
So what do you think is the biggest or most iconic milestone?

    I'd say 225 is a big one, and 315.

Best I can do is 250lbs for 4 solid reps before my wrist goes to sht, old injuries so it feels like a spike is being hammered into it if I go any more reps or any heavier. But I am happy keeping it at 225, no pain and just add reps.
Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.
    1/13/16: Massive hernia.
5/10/16: Finally back to lifting, light but improving.

Any quarter or plate was nice. I would say biggest "hell yeah" moment was a paused 405. With metal plates. Sound was glorious, purposely engaged no clamps mode to hear that slight rattling on the controlled descent.... yeah reliving it in my head is even satisfying. Good thread for good feels. Repped.

302 was good because it was the first time I chased a specific bench number and got it after months of work. 225 I passed without realizing it because I was training dumbbell bench forever.

For me, 225 was huge - that feeling when you know it's not strong, overwhelmed by an even greater realization that it is also truly no longer weak.

315 was euphoric. I know it's not even especially good these days - that guy a couple posts up got 4 plates and I have seen this done in person, as well - but I was on a high for several days. That one took a lot longer.

Between the two, though, I have to agree with OP. For me, there is something about two plates and knowing you made it to the game.

    225lbs for 5x5.

Knowing i'd gone from 50kg at my start, to now benching more than my bodyweight was probably the best lifting moment i've experienced. I'd doubled, hit three figures (100kg), and was benching more than my bodyweight. Pretty significant.

I've had injuries and lost motivation, and can't lift 100kg any more. It's the single biggest motivator right now.

When I hit 225 1RM that was the best! Went from being able to do barely 20 push ups in August to benching 225 lbs once by the following May.

Then, doing 205 lbs 5x5 was another great milestone. I didn't test my 1RM at that point, but I imagine it would've been higher than 225.

Hoping to reach that point again later this year and aspiring to bench 225 5x5.

315 for sure I wanted the 3 plates bad (pinned myself like 5 different times before I got it up) now my next goal is to be able to lift it for reps don't know if ill ever get to 400 but that would be pretty cool. I got to 225 pretty fast so it didn't seem as important I had to work a long time to get the 3rd plate up and I still cant get it up unless I'm having a good day currently doing most of my working sets at 225-275.

The only milestones I want are 140 clean in a judgef comp and 180 in the gym.

Not sure I'm Proud of any lifts I've done?..

I guess I'm happiest that I came back after the doctors telling me I'd never bench again with my ac joint if I didn't get surgery (which was a 50/50 if I'd ever be able even bench anything after)

Started lifting again when gyms reopened here in November. 185x10 flat bench was my first milestone.

Switched to incline in January until I did 195x10 3 sets.

February decided to test 1RM on flat and hit 275! That one felt good.

Last week I surprised myself with 3 sets of 225x10!

Monday decided to test out my 3RM on flat and put up 255x3!

All this while trying to cut.

    Currently right at 200lbs 34yoa

Maybe 315 is in the cards this year???

Honestly 135 was probably the biggest one. Not having to take all the plates off the bar to put a 25 on when training with my friends when I started probably made that the best

Currently the only benching milestone I care about is 200 lb dumbbells
