Question What fish oil to choose from (or does it matter at all?)

What’s a good fish oil supplement for workouts? My roommate recommended Lipidex but the daily dosage is way over the daily recommendation and that much Borage Seed Oil is suppose to be pretty bad. As for multivitamins I use Garden of Life men’s daily which I guess is good enough. I’m currently doing intermittent fasting, cutting fat while still making gains.

It's the quantity of EPA / DHA that matters.

Seeds contain ALA which converts (very poorly) into EPA/DHA - there is no real substitute for fish oil if you want omega 3s

I mean if any product containing fish oil is good enough regarding of price. I usually go with whatever is most popular on Amazon.

Been using Controlled Labs Orange Oximega for years, no complaints.

nutrigold triple strength has 1450 mg epa per two cap dose, not sure if any other brands come close. you can ask your doctor for prescription strength fish oil but not sure if your insurance would cover it.

It definitely matters who you buy from. Pay attention to the EPA/DHA content. Many brands say "fish oil" yet have a low EPA/DHA content. I shoot for around 2g combined EPA/DHA daily, last time I checked that was recommended. I've used Controlled Labs OxiMega for years, I also use Bodybuilding.com brand which has a lower EPA/DHA content.
