How much do you spend on maintenance?

    150k miles on my 06 GM V6

In the last 12 months I've done the following myself

    - Alternator
    - Drive Belt
    - Oil Pressure sensor
    - Battery
    - Double platinum spark plugs

Cost - $450 + around $50 in random sockets I needed (deep sockets) + $99 for a bluedriver ODB2 for better scan results.

Paid a mechanic for the following

    - Tyres (235/35 20")
    - Radiator/Cooling system flush and diganostic
    - New thermostat + housing, gaskets
    - Oil change/filter

    $1500

Never getting sucked into buying a car with big rims again, absolutely not worth the $200+ per corner for decent tyres. Also - **** GM for putting the thermostat at the back of the engine and making it near impossible to change without removing the intake manifold etc to get even close to it.

Meanwhile - my car has 150k miles on it and runs like it has 30k so not complaining.

My truck is a 2016. Never been on the shop.

I have changed the brakes and rotors twice (myself) and a set of tires. So not much maintenance.

Yep, suspension and brakes I do myself - I don't like dealing with the car fluids.

The engine needs nearly 2 gallons for an oil change and 3 gallons for coolant change, not including the flush. No interest in disposing/recycling the fluids, rather pay somebody to do it.

Usually just cost of tires and oil changes, as far as regular maintenance goes for the daily.

Now "maintenance" for the track car is a whole different story lol

I have an 07 RX400h with 180k miles on it.

    So far I have spent:

    -$200 on radiators
    -$200 on suspension
    -$200 on brakes
    -$200 on spark plugs
    -$1500 on tires
-$70 oil changes(I do my own now, which is around $45)
    -$100 on alignment

-So around $3000 over 15 years. The car didn't have any problems until the last couple of years.

-Have not replaced belt or water pump. I don't want to tackle this because I'm afraid Ill mess up the engine.

The car is starting to make funny noises and running rougher than usual. Ill be replacing it soon.

The car could easily last 250k if I had a garage and used that throughout its life. This was a 50k car new so you can buy a cheap 25k hybrid today and it would last a long time if you have a garage.

07 tsx last year. I've owned car about 2 years and put 35k on it.

    150k

    $100 power steering pump
    $250 front tires
    $50 trans fluid x2
    $20 spark plugs
$100-150 oil changes every 5-7k miles. Pay about $25 for each (synthetic oil/filter)

I need to get my valves adjusted but I'm holding off.

    2009 F-150 Lariat 4X4 crew cab.

Bought it wrecked...previous owner rear-ended someone doing like 25 and let it sit for a year. No Airbags deployed. Quote to fix just the front end was 4k.... Bought all part and did myself...bumper, grill and new brackets ($300) Also needed 4 tires ($1000), 2 new rims ($300), one the chrome was peeling and the other was curb checked like a MF'r..... passenger seat wire harness was cut ($650), front wheel sensor was fried...literally caught on fire at some point ($455) and needed 2 new TPS ($110)

About to have to do the plugs, but other than oil changes and initial fixes its been alright. relatively low miles....just turned 126k.
