    Are amino acids worth using?

Currently cutting then lean bulking, just wondering if it's worth adding in seeing as they're fairly decent prices?

No but especially no when trying to add size as you should be able to adequately consume enough protein to cover your daily requirements.

Focus on consuming enough protein. You will get plenty of amino acids this way. If you are not consuming enough, consider a whey protein from a quality company. This website sells a ton of them.

Amino Acids, (BCAAs) are definitely worth incorporating into your daily routine

When you're cutting calories, your body can enter a catabolic state. This is when your body lacks energy and breaks down muscle proteins to satisfy its energy needs
The BCAAs are leucine, isoleucine and valine – three essential amino acids that our bodies can't produce

You'll get mixed feedback on BCAAs here, but I would never go into a cut without them
The majority of amino acids taken in from whole foods digest at a very slow rate, and the majority are also used for energy

BCAAs are instantly absorbed, and instantly available for use

Cool but if you’d have actually read the post rather than just being on shill mode, you’ll have seen he’s bulking so none of this is relevant.

    Yes they’re worth it

Fukin lmfao @ all the drones just repeating what they hear. They all hear it’s bs and they just repeat that

Would you rather stuff your face with 6.2 oz chicken 3 times a day or just eat 3 oz of chicken with 3g leucine

Also it’s better for leucine to be spiked fast asf then It has to be tappered off for 3 hours

When you’re craming ur face with chicken it doesn’t get spiked fast

It’s just generally easier to take bcaas then eat a chit load of chicken, I eat a chit load of chicken when I don’t have bcaas on hand and it sux

Takes me almost 40+ mins to eat 1 meal without bcaa

What? Chicken, 100%. Like that’s not even that much chicken. Milkshakes too, the more the better. I am a bottomless pit, feed me.

Can’t go wrong with a bcaa during workout mixed with water, just for the taste is worth it!

Might as well inject Cell-tech too, actual damn near instant results, disregard any long term problems that science may have uncovered because blah blah blah, too many big words.

Long term problems from BCAAs but you use protein and EAAs correct? And the word used around this camp fire was detrimental, which is a complete joke

I'm not suggesting BCAAs cause long term problems. You're saying science is broke because of instant gratification(based on your N=1 as usual) so I'm using extreme examples of ignoring science because of instant gratification. I'll continue posting links to actual science based evidence so anyone reading these threads can learn if they wish too. You're a well known lost cause with no interest in actually learning or changing your mind. Spend some time reading a book or 2 and maybe you'll be able to comprehend some of the big words used in peer reviewed literature.

I eat chicken during my workouts u mad?

they are worth using during a cut and bulking but only if you're working out hard...not worth it if you're not willing to put the work in or take enough. if you're going to do a sub optimal serving don't waster your money, if you're willing to log your body composition while training hard then do it.

This is my first time seeing the Lobliner and Meadows video, both make valid points. John leans more towards EAA's due to his brand, but still respects BCAAs
He also touches on "studies", and like I've been saying for years, why put your faith in people you have no clue about. The outcome is usually predicted well before the study even starts

My take is this, BCAAs are needed regardless of your protein intake, and if you're not seeing results don't blame the aminos blame yourself

one of the reasons i posted that vid, where he brings up the whole meals, macros per day mentality and how it doesn't produce the results for his athletes. this is why empirical evidence is used in the high performance coaching community.

    success leaves clues.

Results always trump opinion, and yes, just because your eating doesn't guarantee sh!t

    Time your protein for success

Save your money. If you're meeting your macro, which not a single person on these forums would suggest doing otherwise, you're getting plenty of amino acids. There is zero reason to supplement any free-form. More != beneficial. The empirical evidence of actual studies with proper controls show no value in doing so over meeting your macro.

If you're not meeting your macro, fix that issue with protein that has a full spectrum of amino acids.
