come from a multi-million dollar family, have endless funds to train and compete from a very young age

srsly hard to take high level racing that seriously. its not real competition like say football or basketball, where the best of the best are picked from the raw talent of the entire population. in general racers only had to compete with maybe .000005% of the population to start with

Unless you were an elite level internet champion go kart racer by age 10 then it is over for you re F1.

For some other types of racing I think just decades of single mindedness and a stack of money will get you there.

    There are 3 effective strategies:

1: Start in the go-karting competitions as a kid and work your way up open wheel racing until you attract F1 teams.

2: Be related to some famous race car driver and use your family connections to get your racing career established.

3: Be extremely rich and use your money to buy your way in.

This is bullsht. Of course it helps, coming from a rich family background or being groomed into racing by your ex f1 driver dad, duh. But there are plenty of examples of guys making it from the working class simply because they're the best at what they do and their parents worked their azzes off supporting their child's carreer.

Michael Schumacher, Sebastian Vettel, Kimi Räikkönen, Daniel Ricciardo and Lewis Hamilton all came from humble backgrounds.

The billionaire kids and paydrivers rarely make it. They're just funding the teams, tag along and bang models.

damn near every kid wants to race go-karts. lmao if you think all but a miniscule % of parents would spend 10k+ a year on their 11 year old's racing career. LMAO fuk out of here boyo, point still stands

    Don't worry about it,srs

Also don't need to be F1 driver to compete in LeMans.

But I tell you what, if you have $10k you can compete in 24hrs of LeMons in like 6 months from now: https://24hoursoflemons.com/

Just like becoming elite at every other sport, you have to start young, teen years at the oldest. Obviously kids can't be driving proper F1 cars so most start in go-karting and then transfer over when they're old enough.

As others have said, due to the resources required it's generally a 'rich kids' endeavour.
    Starting weight 130lbs
    Current stats: 6"2, 210lbs.

The 8th and final rule: If this is your first night at Gym Club....... you have to squat.

You've already missed the boat. Most start out with karts when extremely young. Like 5-6 years old.

Also being American doesn't help lmao.

because it doesn't prove anything. it depends how you interpret your data. I could say that it proves my point even further. That the competition is so weak because the talent pool is so limited that a pleb child with parents willing make huge sacrifices to let him compete has a very good chance of reaching the top.

Michael Schumacher, Sebastian Vettel, Kimi Räikkönen, Daniel Ricciardo and Lewis Hamilton all came from humble backgrounds.

lol nah, for every 1 broke kid who makes it there's thousands who don't. You need money to make it in racing nowadays, just a simple fact.

Even high level karting now is a huge money sink, they throw out chassis constantly, swapping in new engines constantly, traveling all over the place, need engineers and driver coaches and etc etc etc

Will if you want to become an F1 driver then you have to be rich. And compete at lower rank first like carting and go to f4.f3,f2 and f1. You have to earn point first for those categories first. So if your lucky team from f1 might sign you if your really good on driving.
