depends on their goals. they had Cam in their facility all last year, they know as well as anybody how shot he is, or if he has something left and they just need some weapons around him. lord knows they don't have any.
cam can still go out and win you a couple games in a tough spot like if the starter is injured. what i'm saying is he'd be a great backup somewhere. expecting him to go out and perform for 16 (17?) games is just not realistic IMO.

Depends on who they bring in during free agency and the draft. May need Newton to be a bridge QB if they decide to draft one early.

I mean the Pats were alrdy down like 5 guys who opted out of the season, studs too. Cam was bad but after going thru covid and other chit they still ended 7/9, not bad. Unless they can get Jimmy G then keep Cammi.

If they can't get someone else, then yes absolutely. I think Cam with a full year and a second year would be way better.
They could draft a QB and then keep Cam for a year. There are some QB's on the market, but none as cheap as Newton, maybe Trubisky but that's a stretch for Belichick to agree to.*Mechanical Engineering Crew*

Dude, 2600 yards passing and 10 tuddies is below average with any squad. That Super Bowl loss devastated that poor man's psyche. That 2015 Cam led Panthers squad was just as dominant as the Chiefs and they went completely off the map with one loss. Really weird and you almost never see that in sports.

Draft a rookie and run a 2 QB offense, using Cam as a power back on the goal line. He was pretty bad last year as a passer, but their offense as a whole was pathetic, no one to throw to. There's a chance he could improve but he's not your future.
