    I was under the impression they were more than likely repurposing their lower binned chips that would have otherwise been subpar for the RTX cards but are perfectly fine to be used for mining.

    either way this shortage is absurd and the fact that retail stores cannot seem to find a way to stop bot sniping scalpers from purchasing all the stock is so frustrating, I'm all for people buying what they're at a computer to purchase live, i don't agree with forcing consumer people to play in a pond with people who aren't playing fairly, force a captcha or a queue system or something that lets the little guy who just wants a single card to upgrade get a fair shot at it.
