I have been practicing CrossFit for the past year 3 times a week and I stopped doing weight training.
Although my cardio and range movement improved, I lost strength. If I quit Crossfit and return to weight lifting quickly I will lose the range movement and cardio. Given that I have 3 times a week to train, what is your recommendation to combine weights and Crossfit? Meaning 1 time a week weights and 2 CrossFit or what do you think will work best?
Perhaps you need to clarify your goals. What do you want out of this?
People tend to give vague answers like "get fit" (fit for what?) or "I want to be functional" (what is the function?). You adapt to what you do.
It's possible to train like a bodybuilder without losing range of movement. You simply perform full ROM movements when training in all muscle groups and don't fixate on particular muscle groups like chest and arms like some gym rats do.
You could do that and couple of sessions of cardio per week...
