What are some examples of GOATs doing GOAT things?

What are some examples of All-Time Super Greats doing things that seem redundant or a waste of time but in the end show WHY that person is an all-time GOAT?

    Por Ejemplo:

    - Michael Jordan during the 1992 Dream Team run, was the ONLY American player to study game film of his opponents. Another example of MJ doing things that don't seem important but separates him is that he would give 100% effort in EVERY game. In 1997, he had homecourt advantage all 100% complete with about 5 games remaining. Did he rest those 5 games? Lol hell no. he STILL played 33+ minutes a game, and STILL averaged 30+ PPG and still tried to win those games! Compare this to fake GOAT Lebron James who always complains about 82 game seasons and takes most of the regular season off.

    - Jerry Rice was shocked when the 49ers chose Young over Montana. So what did he do? He decided to get better. He said he struggled with left handed QBs. Now 99% of Wide Receivers would just wait til practice to get better with a left handed QB. Did Jerry Rice do that? Hell no. He decided to get better. So what he did was he hired a left handed QB to practice with him the second he heard the 49ers chose Young over Montana. Because of that Young and Rice would literally break records (such as most TDs between QB and WR and Young would break the TD record in the Super Bowl thanks to Rice).

Another example of Rice doing GOAT things was 3 days after the Super Bowl, Steve Young said Jerry Rice was the only player at the 49ers facility practicing and getting ready for next season. Compare this to fake GOAT Randy Moss who said he only "plays when I want to play," and who no-showed the entire 2007 playoffs with 19-0* on the line. Rice would never quit in the postseason like Moss did.

    What are some other examples?

I don't think he's the GOAT obviously but Kobe used to talk about waiting up super early to get more practices in in a given day. He would wake up IIRC at like 3-4 in the morning to get a practice in, then eat, come back a few hours later and practice again, rinse repeat practicing like 3-4x a day. He just outworked other people

Family friend was one of his body guards and would talk about how Kobe would go stay in XYZ city, and tell him "find me a court" and so the body guard would call around trying to find courts for Kobe to practice on at like 4am. Practice for hours before starting the day.

Also why he hated working for Kobe, had to do a bunch of extra stuff like that and was treated more like a secretary / assistant than a body guard. Not uncommon, but also annoying enough where you'll just find someone else to work for.

Yeah I imagine he was a pain to be around /work for but that's what it takes for greatness so hard to fault him for it

It was the evening of Oct. 13, 2001, the seventh inning of the third game of the American League Division Series between the Yankees and Athletics, and Jeter was in the right place at the right time. It was a fluke play that many hardened baseball men had never seen before, and haven't again to this day.

Terrence Long smacks a Mike Mussina pitch down the right-field line, where it is fielded by Shane Spencer, who wildly overthrows both cutoff men. Jeter appears near the first-base foul line, shoveling the ball to catcher Jorge Posada. The A's Jeremy Giambi does not slide and is tagged out to preserve a 1-0 Yankees lead.

"I've seen it a lot. I was where I was supposed to be," Jeter said. "I'm not supposed to throw it home, but that's where I'm supposed to be. I've never been one to sit down and sing my own praises. I'm happy it was at a big moment for us. Maybe years from now, but I've just never sat down and looked at it like that."

this one's minor but it was like 20 years ago and i still remember it.

Shea Stadium. Mets vs Braves. Greg Maddux during batting practice standing around in left/center with Tom Glavine, Jason Marquis, whoever else. As hitters sent line drives into the outfield, the ball would roll towards them and Greg would toss another ball at it and hit it in motion. The others were trying it and couldn't do it.

Like as the ball rolled into the outfield, 20-30 feet away easily, Maddux could peg it with the ball he was holding. Repeatedly. Seems simple but everyone around was like wait....what

Got to see Maddux pitch for the Cubs as a kid at Three Rivers. Saw Bonds on both the Pirates and the Giants, saw Glavine pitch. Biggio and Bagwell. Ozzie Smith. I knew enough about baseball to know I was watching special players, but I didn't realize I was watching legends.

LeBron pays an insane amount to continually be in the best shape possible.. it's ironic the OP posted what he did about LeBron not playing full 82 games when on one hand it's partially why MJ was so drained and had to quit multiple times, while LeBron has been criticized by the media recently on NOT taking games off

Lebron also faked a hate crime to get more attention.

lol... jaycuck still suffering from an oxygen deficiency... caused by LeMao's fat cock in his throat at all times of every day.

Imagine being 2/15 in championships in full seasons
Imaging getting smoked by Jason Terry in the finals
Imagine having 20 minute flop montages on YT
    Imagine never three-peating once
Imagine being so insecure you need a fake hairline

    No GOAT traits were found.

Pay is good but not any better than any other rich person (famous or not) paying for security like that. Why put yourself in that position just to work with Kobe? Also, the traveling was insane. Kobe would be all over the place and constantly change plans last minute, it's not like he was just by his houses all the time.

Yeah, it's what you have to do to be great, can't fault him, but that's what secretaries / assistants are for not security.
