I got my dexa scan results today and something is wrong
It shows that my bodyfat percentage is 20 %
Whats going on ? Can someone explain ?

Scans are only as good as the tech that operates the machine.
I would have told the management that you wanted them to do it again with a more experienced tech.
Only other answers are the machine wasn't calibrated correctly (again, tech error) or that you moved around a lot during the actual scan, thus skewing the results.~ Like Tae-Kwon-Leap, my goals are not a path to a door, but a road leading forever towards the horizon.

that was also my first thought that the machine wasnt calibrated right, because one arm has 5% more BF than the other how is that possible i dont see that difference.
anyway i dont think that the dexascan is the gold method for measuring your BF

ideally you shouldn’t eat for a few hours before the test. If you payed for it I’d ask them to redo it or give you your money backOriginally Posted by mv22309

This... I have seen people have wildy different DEXA results just 1 week apart - at the exact same body weight, and on the same machine, under the same general conditions (empty stomach, hydration levels, etc).Originally Posted by mv22309
