You guys that have bought both average cars, but also high end luxury models, are the luxury dealers more respectful to you?
Do they try to get you to commit before you know the details of what you're committing to? Are the F&I guys scumbags? Do they negotiate on price?
I've had exactly one car salesman treat me like a human 5 years ago when I bought my truck. They rest have always acted like I was subordinate to them and they they were doing me a favor.

I was at a porsche dealer today, driving a pre-owned and I let him know i was months if not YEARS from buying. they were pretty cool.
I've been to merecedes 2 times for a guy's maintenance, and yes it's pretty solid treatment. but you pay for it in the beginning with that price tag.
Toyota is decent, but them foolz is always busy.Just trying hard to not be a fat sack-o-chit.

I've bought 2 Audis brand new, can't say I felt like it was a luxury experience like a nice restaurant. And they are combined Audi / Porsche dealerships.
Bought a Land Rover brand new, have to say the dealership was an absolute POS after I brought the vehicle home. multiple times they tried getting out of work I needed done under warranty that they were responsible for. Took fighting but they covered the work. Never had that problem before with a warrantied car.

In my experience luxury dealers treat you way better. I had to threaten to kill someone to get a loaner from Kia, and despite me driving a $57k MSRP Kia that I bought new from the same dealership I was trying to get the loaner from, they gave me a shytty base Forte. It was honestly like the guy at the service counter had to give me his personal car, the way he refused and refused until I went over his head.
Now with Audi the experience is the complete opposite. They always give you a car that's just as nice as what you drive, if not nicer. They're very flexible, the dealers around where I live are very nice and comfortable, there's free food, and so on."So live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about their religion; respect others in their view, and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and its purpose in the service of your people. . . . Always give a word or a sign of salute when meeting or passing a friend, even a stranger, when in a lonely place." -Tecumseh

Yes you get treated better, although I feel like over the past few years the quality of care from all dealerships have declined.
All the luxury brands have grown their sales to the point that they've lost their luster, save for RR/Bentley/exotics. Everyone and their mother can afford a $35k A Classe now so if your MB dealer is a volume dealer your treatment with regards to service will be poorer.
