I have lifted for a year or three here and there since I was about 20, and I am 40 now. Since I have gotten very big in the past and I lifted a lot in my 20s, I am big all the time and it is quite easy for me to increase size whenever I start lifting again. I started lifting again in the fall and I quickly noticed a good amount of hypertrophy. In the past, the pump of frequent lifting persists until I eventually stop going to the gym for whatever reason. However, mid-January after about 10-12 weeks of my program, I suddenly lost the obvious hypertrophy I was seeing. I have never experienced this before and I guess it has to do with age (or else someone was slipping roids in my food and then stopped!) What would be the reason for the sudden reversal of hypertrophy which I am reluctant to call atrophy because I am still big? Although I don't want to call it atrophy, the current-lifter-pump spontaneously vanished. What is the mechanism for this loss of hypertrophy mid-program? What are the remedies?

Theres not enough information to go on. Other than a medical condition, dietary changes could lead to feeling flat. Lack of water, sudden drop in sodium intake, dropping carbs....if it isn't the sudden onset of some medical condition we need more info.
Has sleep/diet changed?
Height, weight, approx. Bodyfat?
