Arrow Liquid egg whites mixed with protein powder.

Is it ok to mixed pasteurised liquid egg whites with protein powder and drink it?

Is the protein in pre cooked egg whites as bioavailable as cooked egg whites?

I like to take 1 cup liquid egg whites mixed with 1 scoop chocolate protein in the morning because I struggle to eat in the morning.

P.S. it just tastes like a normal protein shake for anyone wondering.

I am vegetarian so i try something similar and add 1 cup of greek yogurt with whey. Greek yogurt has casein so i get protein for next 2-3 hours from it.

What do you mean is it okay? It's food.
I can tell time. Time cannot tell me.

Formerly LactoseTolerant. I'm not very imaginative.

Is the protein in uncooked raw egg whites as bioavailable as cooked.

    That was my question.

    Apparently not:

And this contains a citation which is encouraging without having examined it carefully.

Pasteurised eggs are not the same as raw eggs. Various food authorities deem it a safer alternative to raw eggs, but there's obviously conflicting claims. Maybe you could microwave it for a bit or throw it in the pan and see how it turns out. Otherwise, I'd just mix it with greek yoghurt, cottage cheese or milk

Doesn't matter. You're mixing it with whey which is the most bio available protein out there.

More importantly, why would you even bother with slimey raw egg whites if you have a better protein source on hand?

I don't know why he does it. Maybe he likes the taste?

Perhaps it makes it a bit more slower digesting so the rise in MPS may last longer, although admittedly this is majoring in the minors.
