No change in weight for 3 months = no caloric deficit.

The ONLY way to lose weight is to take in fewer calories than you are burning each day... Which you are not doing.

Either eat less, move/exercise more or a combination of both.

working out doesn't automatically make you lose weight if you keep eating the same way you did before

Losing weight is not complicated, but may not be easy for an individual to do...

Consistently eating LESS calories than you burn will result in weight LOSS over time.

Consistently eating MORE calories than you burn will result in weight GAIN over time.

Consistently eating as many calories than you burn will result in weight stagnation over time.

Eat less. Move more. (Exercise does not burn as many calories as many people would like to think it does.)

Fatloss is almost exclusively about diet and taking in fewer calories than you burn. Make sure you eliminate or minimize

    Alcohol
    Processed Carbs
    Liquid calories
    Most restaurant food

    Maximize

    Lean protein
    Green veggies
    Water

Start with that and read the stickies at the top of the forum
If you don't get what you want you didn't want it bad enough

cant stress this enough. There should be a sticky about it. Also, never add calories to compensate for calories you think you burned with cardio. Like say treadmill says you burned 300 calories. Your cut daily calories is 1800. You don’t get to add another 300 calories for what you did on the treadmill making total intake 2100. You should still just eat 1800

honestly i don't see anything wrong with it as long as you can do it reliably. like if you know your TDEE is normally 2500 (let's say you're trying to maintain), but this one day you did an extra hour of bicycling, it's pretty safe to eat 2600-2700 calories. works for me at least

not sure if i've actually replied to a post like this before, just sounds familiar

Calorie deficit my man! In order for someone to lose weight is to be in a calorie deficit, no matter what program you do it is a must to track your calories and to be eating in a deficit.

well that’s different I’m more speaking on terms of like people who track steps and deduct that, or think 20 minutes on an elliptical can actually burn 300 calories with low resistance. Most new comers to the gym I’ve seen vastly over estimate calories burned

overestimating calories burned and underestimating calories eaten are the reasons for the “ I’m in a deficit and can’t lose weight” posts
