Early 60s, 5’8” tall, fit, flannel shirt, jeans, boots, weathered Carhartt coat and navy blue knitted stocking cap (year round) - That’s mountain man attire...Or maybe remote viewing, just watched a show aboot it. Seems legit.

Lol no. It was a suburb. I was trying to find a picture but it looks so sad. Mika Salo also lived there and dated my friend at one time, actually. Häkkinen was more serious and not juvenile delinquent like us.

Still great eating size though. The trout we stock in my lakes in the fall (rainbows/browns) are usually no bigger than 3-5lbs. They should be edible by now. I have caught them before a week or so after they were stocked and they still tasted like dog food or whatever pellets the fish farm fed them (they were gross). Then I caught some the following spring and they were really good after living in the spring fed water and eating a more natural diet.

Ice here is dangerous. We haven't had a good 3 days or so of cold weather. It gets down to the 20s then goes back up just above freezing. Every decade or so you will get a nice calm and cold stretch and the ice freezes clear and you can find snapping turtles stacked on top of them on springs in small lakes near the bank. Break a hole in the ice and just pull them out, they are so dormant they don't even swim away. I don't eat them anymore though because they are full of PCBs, mercury etc due to age/biomagnification
