Thread: How should I invest the $600 dollars the U.S. Taxpayers just gave me?

Looking for short-term gains where I could conceivably cash out within a few months if need be. Newb investor i.e. poor Miscer. Have a Fidelity account.

What say you Misc financial Wizards?

I am just a newb. With that said, seeing the recent dips doesn't make me want to buy at its current price. I hate myself for not investing in quite a few things back in March. I was kind of hoping the market would tank more than it did.

I too was really bearish on the market in March, I have been socking cash away, but I should have had more faith in Money Printer go BRR.

They trade exactly the same as if you were buying common stock except more volatile.

OP if you think you may need to 'Cash out' your $600 in a few weeks you should just keep it cash. It would be really dumb to lose like 50% of that in the market and need to cash out and you basically pissed away half your money for no reason.

A lot of miscers that are really active in these investing/trading threads make a ton of bad decisions. Some guys are talking about losses/how much they are down, etc. They all literally could have bought the S&P 500 all year and DCA into the market weekly/monthly and would have come out massively ahead.



From what I can tell everyone sitting on cash thinks the market is going to crash again. I really don't think that's going to happen. That was literally a once in a life-time opportunity for most of us.

Well, I don't "need" to, but, I am looking for short term gains so I can make a profit. Appreciate it.
