    Need some general advice

Hi, I’m quite new to all of this so sorry I’m advance. But I’m in a situation where I have been quite a small guy my whole life. Currently i am 23 years old, 174cm tall, 72kgs and I would say fall into the skinny fat category. I’ve always wished I could put on the kilos and muscle and change how I look, sadly it’s something that’s made me real self conscious about myself a lot. But sadly I’ve got a few injuries I feel could prevent me from doing so. Right now I have one shoulder that I injured 4 years ago, and dislocated many times since then to a point now where I’m currently on a wait list for surgery, and my other shoulder I have dislocated 2 years ago and have done that another 2 times since. My right shoulder is the one I’ve done most recently and is probably the best of the two, and if building some muscle around the area can help to not dislocate it in future that would be great. My other shoulder on the other hand is a real issue, it can dislocate easily if shoulder is above head, the injury is that bad that it’s been dislocated that many times, a certain bone was been worn down and has no bone there to restrict the shoulder from popping out. So to sum all this up, I’m just asking for some advice if it’s worth trying to work out an exercise program that avoid certain things that would hurt my shoulder, or it’s best to wait. Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks.

Waiting is never a good option, problems with instability wont go away unless u know what to do. Find a good physio or trainer.

    Epeatey,

I hurt my right shoulder this Summer moving these guys:

Anything overhead is painful, but some days are better than others, so I can still get in muscle snatches and push presses on a fairly regular basis as long as I don't overdo it (which I tend to do). I can do kettlebell swings, deadlifts, squats with the weight held at my sides, Farmers' Walks and hyperextensions without any problem, at all. That's my weightlifting workout. Try those exercises. The 'R' (rest) in R.I.C.E. has been changed to 'M' (movement), M.I.C.E.
It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.

It's easy to not be afraid of tigers when you're sitting in your living room watching a television program about tigers. When you're in the jungle where the tigers are, it's quite a different story.
