Hype is just ridiculous for that game and it's probably just going to be another Watchdogs.

Pretty much. When hype gets crazy like it has been for this game it's bound to disappoint some people.

It’ll be tough to live up to the hype for sure, but thats a ways away from being a disappointment!

The strongest part of the game seems to be the dystopian future setting which is incredibly relevant to current events. Everyone is jerking off to the impending collapse of western civilization.

I watched the gameplay footage and thought, "that's it?"

The game it's self just kinda looks like Skyrim meets Watchdogs to me.

That's what I think.

Delays, hype, promise of being a gamechanger, etc is always a bad sign.

Plus, where the shutdown was solid and everyone was home, they could have sold infinite copies of the game, and they did not. I would have bought one in a heartbeat.

Now, I am skeptical and I'm going to wait and see what people have to say.

I'm excited about a science fiction RPG because I don't like swords and all of that crap and every game is set in ancient times. Shooting takes more skill and I prefer planing what I doing in games vs just running around.

Yeah I am still gonna get it but I have definitely lowered my expectations for it. After the delays and cut content/features I would be surprised it is turns out to be something amazing. In my experience when developers keep delaying games and changing things about them late in development it's usually a bad thing.

I want it to be good!

I would love for it to be good because I am tired of the same old types of games and it's from a good company.

I don't know what sword based games can be so extensive while gun based ones can't. I don't get if it's a technical issue or is it the case that they just don't want to make them.

I never liked ancient fantasy stuff because it has no chance of being real where science fiction is at least thought provoking.

No way it's anywhere in the league of bad as Watch Dogs, in fact I'd be surprised if it's anything less than a great game. However, very unlikely it lives up to the hype and lofty expectations so many have for it, and that's pretty much what early reviewers are saying. Many Witcher fans seem to think this game will be a 12/10 experience and be leagues beyond any game they have ever played for some reason.
