Tried telling these fking potatoes....
T flops does. not. mean. chit. And cannot be used to measure real world performance in any way.
Also...still trying to figure out how consolecels think their GPU's are in line with anything even remotely resembling anything "high end PC".
PS5 ENTIRE system draw (GPU, CPU, RAM, fan, etc is barely over 200 watts.
Brb - a 2080Ti ALONE consumes almost 300 watts. (And AMD's competing card, the 6800, is also nearly 300 watts under load.)
Yeah brah. Your console has high end PC hardware in it. Sure.
You have one thing - great optimization. That's all.

i told people for a long time there will not be that big of a diff,
ps4 pro vs xbox 1 x, it was 4 teraflops vs 6 teraflops, almost 50 percent difference but the graphics were pretty close, x was not 50 percent better.
so now that same 2 teraflop difference but its now under 20 percent difference in teraflops, hardly even noticeable difference at this point

Teraflops do mean something, but not in the way people see it. They automatically assume since this GPU has the same teraflops that means same performance or if this gpu has 20 teraflops and the last gpu has 10 teraflips that means TWICE the performance. Very wrong thinking.
examples
rtx 3070 = 20 teraflops and the rtx 2080ti = 14.2 teraflops
6 more teraflops yet the 3070 is practically identical in performance*** Latinos For Trump Crew ***

I own a PS5 and not an Xbox at the moment but you are cherry picking one title which has known issues the devs say they are looking into. Typical fanboyism blindness. In the exact same title the Series X holds 120fps while the PS5 drops to 90fps in the same mode. But of course you don't post that screenshot.
With that said, what we are seeing from multiplats is much tighter than most would anticipate. But that doesn't mean Teraflops don't matter. Most people in the space say the Series X is simply harder to squeeze power out of. Give this some time. Cyberpunk will probably be fairly telling. I am very happy if I don't feel like I need to buy an Xbox this gen.
But you don't even know what tactical means.
Teraflops don't matter is some of the dumbest chit I have ever heard. Take Playstation out of the conversation. If they don't matter the Xbox Series S wouldn't be running every game like absolute dog chit. Because the difference between the S and X is mostly GPU based, Teraflops. Sure, we can say they aren't a 1:1 comparison or they mean less as technology advances or in different circumstances but to say Teraflops don't matter is max level ignorance.

I know you own a ps5, I post in the ps5 thread as well. It doesn't matter if you owned 2 ps5's. The fact of the matter is you made a really stupid statement. You said that people thinking a 20%-30% teraflops difference was insignificant had lost their minds.
In today's post you're telling me that Xbox still wins some comparisons but you're only talking about frames in a certain mode. You talk about cherry picking yet you conveniently chose to ignore all the differences in textures and details where the Xbox version looks like a ps2 game.
There are easily more videos showing the ps5 version games as superior, but even if I granted you 50/50, you were still a dumbass with your "hurr durr 30% MOAR TERAFLOPZ IS YUGE"
Turns out it wasn't at all and made you look like an idiot in the end for jumping on the bandwagon.
In the exact same title the Series X holds 120fps while the PS5 drops to 90fps in the same mode. But of course you don't post that screenshot

Strong backpedal. You are literally using our argument here. You said a 30% increase was MASSIVE.
"Omg the PS5 is so weak, Sony dun fukt up"
You were on this train for months bashing the PS5.
Then you realised the difference wasn't that big at all and you changed your tone real quick.
No one is claiming a 1 TF GPU will outperform a 10 TF one. What we're saying is you fanboy'd out hard about "muh TERAFLOPZ" and need to admit you went off the deep end with your fanboy exaggerations▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

So you are going to lean your argument on a game bug? Did you even watch the DF video? Watch it, listen closely, maybe even put playback at half speed so your brain has a chance to comprehend, then read what you just posted and let it all sink in.
It's an obvious bug in the game where maybe they are loading Series S textures or something.

its probably just going to depend on the title
digital foundry just released their call of duty cold war comparison, with little to no difference. Only thing is in RT performance the ps5 has dips in performance in certain situations and the xbox series x does not dip at all. This could be the small advantage of a "little" bit more power. The dips are quick, but not a hinderance in gameplay they said.
but then PS5 has a slight advantage in performance mode (120 fps no RT).. but we are getting to the point of talking about 1-5 fps and gloating about it as if you notice the difference.

I think its the way microsoft/sony is handling their image outputs, I've notice on dirt 5 as well that microsoft's shadows are raised/lighter, while sony's shadows are darken. Normally higher contrast is more pleasing thats why sony's looks better.. that contrast creates a pop effect

Sure. So let's grant you a bug. I'm feeling charitable.
Are you seeing drastic difference in games like you so confidently predicted? You said 20-30% teraflops would be a massive and very noticeable difference. Were you right?
Whe know the answer. So is the XBox optimization off? Do the deva need time to figure out the architecture? All your ranting and raving was all for nothing.
I was always in the crew who said it didn't matter, both systems would run games just fine and it came down to which had the better games. I prefer the PS5 because I liked its games but I was never invested in graphics.
It's just real funny to see people so adamant about a topic like if they have a clue and end up being wrong.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

yea for sure, I was mainly talking about call of duty as you can see in the screenshots in that as well the shadow difference. Thats subjective, some people will say they don't like it so dark. Dirt 5 seems to have a texture issue where its just not loading it or like someone said its pulling series s textures.

Feeling charitable? LoL You mean you didn't actually watch the video before making this thread or maybe worse yet you did and aren't intelligent enough to comprehend it.
Now I remember you. We were going back and forth about how last gen systems played out and you kept saying false chit. When I took 5 minutes to reference what I was saying and prove you wrong there was no reply.
So I won't put that much effort into this reply. You have me quoted saying "Acting like a 20-30% difference in teraflops doesn't matter is coping as hard as Xboxers who act like Sony doesn't have a software advantage." so I'll address that which is probably the most pro Xbox thing I have said recently outside of system aesthetics (nice cherry pick again). Ask everyone who calls me a Sony fanboy here. I'll once again state the fact that some posters call me a Sony fanboy while others call me an Xbox fanboy reassures me that I am not a fanboy but points out those calling me one probably are. But yes, up to this point a 20% Teraflops improvement was very meaningful. Just look at base PS4 vs Xbox1 when the same people now saying gpu power doesn't matter because they are Sony cucks were gloating about power when the PS4 was the more powerful system. The base PS4 was running games much better than the base Xbox1 with that 20% power advantage. Refer to the thread where I laid out the facts and referenced them to prove you wrong and then you didn't reply. I have said dozens of times on these forums I am interested to see how that power difference relates to real world performance. And that is what we are seeing now, and so far it's not nearly as dramatic as it has been in the past, but it's early and so we'll see as time goes on.
And again, just fawking LoL@ referring a bugged game loading the wrong textures to try and make a point. This is 10/10 fanboy cuckery. If you are unbaised, Series X has the better hardware, PS5 has the better software, it's that fawking simple.
I don't think anything we've seen this far would indicate one system is better than another. Series X probably has a slight lead if you tallied everything that's been eva;hated up but it's surely not significant at this point. Will be interesting to see how Cyberpunk does on the Series X and PS5, and how it barely runs on the Series S.

Interesting trade-off. Sacrifice +-4 frames for better particle effects & more realistic shadows.https://psnprofiles.com/Shyheimz-
