Just got back into exercise. Got into decent shape over summer. Now since the winter months kicked in put on about a stone, at least. Looking to get back into shape but finding it hard. In the summer was averaging about 22-24 miles a week running and now trying to get back into it, but finding the cold has knackered my joints . Its about 3 degrees UK, where I live and I run in t-shirts and shorts, when I can get out.
Trying to split running and bag work for exercise, to split things up and give joints a rest.
I would say my body type is similar to Tyson Fury: in that I am tall, long-waisted and tend to store a lot of fat around midsection. I am of distant middle-eastern ancestry, not sure if that matters, but I always find I put weight on in the winter, as I struggle with the cold.
Probably >20% bf, at the moment, was <14% in summer, according to calipers/BIA.
Any advice on diet, or workouts/weights at home much appreciated. Thought it would be good to ask on here, as many experts here with a lot of experience and better than asking a coach, as in lockdown.
