    HR target for Wind Sprints

Working out with a friend remotely today. Going to run some wind sprints at the baseball field then snapchat them. Last time I set the sprint length around ~60 yards

Opinions on target HR levels? If I Stride them hard but comfortable, I'm sure I can easily hit 160 heart rate which is like 85% HR for me. Can probably double my volume.

If I full out sprint them, they're obviously much more painful on the diaphram. I can spike my HR near 182 (95%) but I'm done pretty quick.

My current leaning is the 160 target would still help me with speed work. And the double length workout at 160 would probably do more for my heart that a shorter spike thats higher.

What are your goals? Are you trying to simply get faster, and if so at what distance and for what purpose?

    General calorie burn, general athleticism.

I've been thinking of shifting my distance runs to sprints with the logic sprinters have more attractive legs (to me).

    Then HR won't matter much.

Sprinters (good ones) utilize resistance training more than distance runners.
I can tell time. Time cannot tell me.

Formerly LactoseTolerant. I'm not very imaginative.
