Need guidance on what to do next

i truly apologize for my constant posts, but if you please read it will explain. I’m having a rough go of it.

JUST noticed this today. Long story short. Got hurt, lost muscle and strength. Yesterday I was told NOT to constantly engage my core by my PT, so I now notice I may actually have much more belly fat than I originally thought. I had a pelvic floor injury and me constantly engaging (due to self confidence issues) my core to reduce the visual size of the stomach ended up causing too much tension, exasperating my injury.

    https://imgur.com/a/AilCPOB
Here are some images. I took a couple pics of me laying down. Maybe you guys can help determine if this is bloating or fat.
Only reason I’m skeptical of fat is because I stuck to my macros and always lifted hard and gave my all at the gym. SOME slack days but idk maybe I bulked too long.

I wanted to work my way back up to my muscle mass and strength by bulking slightly again, but now I’m thinking it’s best to reduce the stomach fat.

If I decided to do this I’ll obviously be in a deficit, will I be able to gain the muscle I lost back? I know I won’t be the same size, but will my muscles grow? Or will I just look how I do now but thinner in the midsection?

I’m allowed to workout, but in the higher rep range at a relatively easy-moderate intensity. Will my muscle maturity/mass get even worse? Or will I at least be able to hold onto what I have even on a deficit with light intensity for a couple months?

I'll be honest OP, based on your post history I think most of your problems exist between your ears, versus your IBS and pelvic floor injury...but I am in no way qualified to diagnose anything so feel free to ignore the top part of my post.

Will you be able to gain back any muscle lost during a deficit once back it a surplus? Yes of course

Will your muscles grow while in a deficit? Unlikely given your Doctors orders to limit progressive overload

Will your muscle mass diminish during a cut yes, but if you continue to resistance train and eat in a sensible deficit it wont be too significant

You’re 100% spot on with the first part. I’ve had an extremely stressful 4 months man. I’ve gone through an injury that is a mans worst nightmare because its impacted penile issued and what not. So not only am I physically losing what I found to love muscle wise, but I’m losing my sanity here. I’m not sure if you saw fhe images but I’m curious as to what you think that is. Bloating or fat.

Until you’ve spent a day in my shoes, I don’t appreciate the jokes. Have you ever had a pelvic floor injury to the point you can’t have a proper bowl movement for months? Can’t ejaculate or urinate properly? Constant rectal pressure? Tingling and stinging up the urethra and shaft? Can’t ****ing sit down normally for MONTHS.

I lived with this stuff for MONTHS. So excuse me if I’m being a little dramatic.

I appreciate you having fun at my expense. I’ve seen every damn doctor possible. So I’m sorry if I come here looking for advice in the one place I may hope to find SOME level of comfort or clarity.

People aren't laughing at your injury. It's that your most pressing concern is if it's bloating or fat.

Because the bloating (if it is) is also impacting the injury in ways I can’t describe. He is having fun with my injury, acting like an imbecile. Who tf doesn’t know what a urethra is. I don’t need his idiocy. I just want answers, not judgement.

I was obviously commenting on the general nature of all of your posts and nebulous Qs, including the alter ego you used once (who claimed to be your best friend after people figured out it was you).

It seems like the only way it impacts your injury is via your overreaction (constant tensing of your pelvic floor muscles) to how you think it affects your appearance.

Not sure what circus you’re talking about. I ask questions, get sarcastic answers so I voice my frustration.

Look man, like I said, the crap I’ve gone through would make each of you lose your mind. It’s not fun. It makes you overthink. I’ve Had penile issues for months now. Misdiagnosed tons of times. I’ve spent the last 2 months trying to perfect whag I did wrong so I repeatedly ask the same questions sometimes and for that, I apologize. I’m not in the right frame of mind because every day I wake up hating the day I have to put up with.

I mean this in a serious way so don't take it the wrong way, but have you thought about talking to a therapist? This seems to have moved beyond a physical issue. Might help you with the mental part of getting passed this while the doctor and/or physio works on the physical.

I clicked the link and it says this:

"This post may contain erotic or adult imagery.
By continuing, you acknowledge that you are 18+ years of age."

It doesn't look like bloating, just a bit of normal fat. Normal fat, not excess fat.
