    ProStar equipment

Anyone have any info on ProStar equipment? There is a lat pull/row combo for sale near me. When I google their website the link takes me to Rogers athletic. Not sure if they were bought out by Rogers at some point. Pic of the unit attached. It's a little bigger than I'd like with the long row bench, but I like the belt driven units (like Bodymasters).

Not sure who owns their designs. I had a ProStar FID bench that was very nice and extremely heavy duty, just too massive for my needs. I haven't seen their stuff posted a lot here, but it's been positive when I have seen something.

ProStar used to be made in Kansas City, Missouri. Some of it was made with 7 gauge tubing.

They sold out or merged with Rogers Athletic out of Claire, Michigan. Rogers fazed out the ProStar lines due to lack of interest.

I wish that I could find one of the Kennedy Squat horizontal plate load leg presses, but I don't think that many were ever made. They made a cool adjustable angled seat dual stack leg press, but it needed better range of motion IMO. I passed on the one that I used.

I live in KCMO, have a lat pulldown and leg press made by Prostar, both are very solid pieces.

I have a Prostar leg press as well. Its very smooth and overbuilt. I also have Body Masters lat pulldown. The belt makes a world of difference compared to a cable that was on my Cybex lat pulldown I had.

I agree the belt driven machines just seem smoother to me. I wonder why some companies go with cables vs belts? Even within the same company you will see both used.

This is the only belt driven combo machine I’ve seen. Unfortunately with the long row seat I think it will be too big for my gym.
