So I work a very demanding job thats mental and physical and always on the go. I kind of want to give up weights as Im sore after every work out and affects my performance at work when I'm sore as I move slower. I wasn't like this when I was in my early 20's and I would always have energy to workout after a long shift. Now I just want to relax after work. Is anyone over 30 years old like this?
I want to give up weight lifting but I don't cause I want to get muscular again like when I was in my 20's. Any tips on how to not be sore after workouts?

^^
I'm 33 years old, work 12 hour swing shifts (two weeks days, two weeks nights), and have three boys to chase after. I still get sore after some workouts but its usually because I'm going too hard. Currently trying to cut weight so my calorie intake is pretty low but I'm still finding myself working out like I was when my diet was 1000+ calories than now.
I'd recommend getting your diet in check (Figure out maintenance calorie intake and adjust), checking out your program a little bit more; if you're that sore after EVERY workout, cut back a little and see if it goes away, and make sure you are properly stretching and warming up before going at it hard.
Good luck.Progress, not perfection. One day at a time.
