    meal prep advice

So I'm new to meal prepping and I'm trying to aim for 2530 calories (or less). I want to know how do I get started? I planned out some meals but they don't necessarily add up to my goal deficit.

Meal prepping is planning and preparing meals that meet your caloric, macro and micro goals. If you've written down some meals and they don't equate to your goals you haven't meal prepped.

Figure out what your target calories/protein/fat is. After that I put everything into an excel spreadsheet that totals calories/protein/fats/carbs/fiber up as I enter info. It's pretty easy to enter/change foods doing it this way. MyFitnessPal is a great app you can get that will do this work for you.
