NBA 2k doesn't look that great. I have 2k20 on PC and the graphics still look 4-5 years old at least.
Madden looks pretty good if you use a higher contrast settingPC specs

More like:
NBA 2K21 PS4:
NBA 2K21 PS5:
Spoiler!
Not only that, but for not raising the same kind of ire as everyone did with EA and Battlefront's microtransactions, especially when 2K's practices make those lootboxes look quaint.
The $10 extra is just rubbing extra salt in the wound since they're really just withholding parts that could run just as well on the PS4/Xbone and then saying that extra sweat is super hard work. Reality is that they spend more on licensing fees than actually developing anything for these games, and I wouldn't be surprised if the licensing costs for one year is more expensive than the development costs over several titles.
As a side note, companies need to make something like Blood Bowl but not turn-based - just a no holds barred, real time, fantasy sports game.I will stand firm, I refuse to kneel - The fury in me is divine
My dark grave awaits, my fate is revealed - But I'm not afraid to die

Game looks great, but sports games for the most part are just blatant cash grabs. Legit every year it's just a roster update and then some more sweat added for NBA 2K. Last sports game I actually bought might have been Madden 2011 srs. All the other sports games I've gotten over the years are because I gameshare with my bro who buys all these games, or they were free at some point on GamePass like 2k and the EA games.
Sports games are probably not the best metric for next gen graphics as well.*Mechanical Engineering Crew*

I’m addicted to MLB the show for the past few years. San Diego studio does it right. Haven’t touched 2k since 16 or 17, Madden in 5+ years and fifa for awhile but I’ll keep on buying the show yearly since it’s always so well put together and never have to spend a dime to put together a great Diamond Dynasty team

Strong this.
"Muh graphics" get improved every single year.
Meanwhile, we're using the same cot dayum general controller style we've had for years. Can we not get VR-style controllers on the consoles? Anyone who's played a legit VR game like Alyx knows how game-changing it really is.
But seriously just LOL@consoles. $70 and in-game ads for the same game with ambient occlusion and sweat? GTFO.Misc Entrepreneur Crew

VR seems like it's kinda campy, it's got some enthusiasts who seem to love it but it's simply not appealing to a lot of people. I mean there is only so many people who are attracted to the concept of an isolating experience where you strap on a helmet with a screen directly in front of your face and completely block out everything around you with your headphones on as you play video games by swinging around some fist remotes. It's like good for you if you are into that sort of thing but it's totally not for me.

It wasn't marketed right in the beginning, and in my opinion, still isn't.
Showing fedora-toting redditors playing Beat Saber is cringe.
There's a legit hardcore gamer crowd that plays games like Pavlov and Echo VR. It's a completely different world that unfortunately has not had a lot of exposure. Once you're in, you really do get it, and are hooked.
Facebook just doesn't really care about the gaming aspect. They're more in VR for the social aspect and treating the games much like they treat Facebook games.Misc Entrepreneur Crew
