I have the hitch mount, but I'm running out of diy ideas. .75" PVC pipe is flimsy as hell and unaesthetic. But it has swivel mounts that i can attach to it.
A 1" PVC (interior) is perfect strength but no swivel brackets with clip on amazon at least

Tons of Y-tube vids on the subject. Lots of DIY but then there are companies that are selling some really nice setups but they want too much.
