Blizzard announced today that Shadowlands which was dated to release at the end of this month will be delayed until "later this year" with the date undetermined. The pre-patch has been pushed to October 13th, so who knows what that indicates in terms of how long it'll take for them to finish up SL.
They stated they're doing this to make sure SL is as good as possible, so hopefully this is Blizzard showing promise and wanting to release a top notch product instead of a half-assed xpac, but delaying this close to launch is worrisome.

On one hand i'm glad they made the decision to try and polish the game before launch, esp if there were big issues still remaining, but on the other hand im thinking there must be some big fukkin issues left for ActiBlizz to okay a delay. Now what the final product will eventually look like im not so sure of. As promising as some of the Shadowlands features looks, Blizzard's recent track record isnt so hot.

Don't have heroes; look up to no one. Because as long as someone's leading the way, the best you'll ever be is second.

--The proper plural form of the Latin adjective biceps is bicipites, a form not in general English use. Instead, biceps is used in both singular and plural (i.e., when referring to both arms). The form bicep [sic], although common even in professional contexts, is considered incorrect. (from Wikipedia)
