4 Months of Maintaining the same weight

First of all - hey everyone! It has been about 4 months since I have posted on here so thought it was time for an update and to let you know that I am still at it.

Yes 4 months doesn't seem like a long time to maintain the same weight but I realized that the entire 3 1/2 years prior to this I was either losing weight or gaining weight on purpose. After cutting last fall and taking my last set of progress pics I was able to gain slowly as I had planned without tracking calories which I had been doing for over 2 years. I stopped the gaining phase at a weekly average of 177 lbs and decided to just maintain and have been around 176 - 177 lbs since then (at 5'7).

Below is a graph showing my initial weight loss and then my two gaining phases and now the maintenance phase. I really think 175 - 180 is my settling point where I can be healthy while eating what I want, still have just a hint of abs, and don't look too skinny in clothes. Lastly being healthy is my priority now but if I ever decide to get shredded again it is only about 15 lbs away.

Workouts are also still in maintenance mode with 2 full body sessions per week and I try to get 1 cardio session in per week but that sometimes doesn't happen. This pic was from last nights workout, yes I am still at it and still doing lat spreads LOL. This December will be 4 years since I started my weight loss & fitness journey with the last year being maintenance.

I hope everyone is doing well!
Bodybuilding is much more than an hour in the gym a few days a week---it's a lifestyle that changes all your perceptions about how to live, eat, and rest. It feeds the mind as much (and sometimes more so) than the body.

    Good job!
    I like your graph tracking.
Gaining muscle only is a very slow process for the natural bodybuilder especially for us older guys.
I think health wise maintaining a bodyweight with low fat is a very good thing.
I dropped thirty pounds four years ago and have only gained eight pounds since then.
An average of two pounds a year which if it's muscle is good.
I don't feel fat and sluggish.

You are very wise to build in a long period of maintaining the progress you have made. Sometimes we can get so caught up in pursuing we don't do enough arriving, celebrating, and cementing the gainz made for example in 2016 to 2018.

Great work sir and a great example to follow!

    Damn dude! You look great!
    Dem lats!!

You definitely have the knowledge and the gumption to put yourself at any weight you want; or maintain any weight you want. That knowledge is king.
To be in full control of one's weight/condition is the pinnacle of fitness.

You're maintaining a great set of proportions, Troy! Really hard to improve on that build. Totally jealous of the lats and quads both!
I'm out, standing in my field.

    65 and still a newbie.
