I'm starting a new 12 team, 2 QB, 0.5PPR Dynasty League this year with my buddies. I have a bit of a bold strategy heading into the draft. My thinking is, given it's a two QB league, if I am in the situation where I can take 2 of the top 3 qbs (Lamar, Pat, DW) in the first 2 rounds back to back....
do I do it?

In theory its a good idea. 12 teams and 2 QBs make a good starting QB tough to get. That's 24 Starting QBs needed to fill all the slots leaving only 8 back ups to spread out between the remaining 12 teams. That means that a lot of teams will have a non starter in the QB slot at least a couple times a year.
It creates exceptional problems for bye weeks and having a third QB for injury/back up duty extra important as well because its basically two weeks a year minimum you will need coverage.
I went with your strategy in one a few years back. It didn't work out. That said, i would feel a lot better about drafting Pat and Lamar now compared to the guys I drafted then. When I did it they weren't in the league yet.
That said Dack would not be in my top two choices.
Also, in a QB starved League expect others to get this idea. In my league that was the same way at least 2-3 guys went QB in the first round and pretty much everyone had drafted a QB by the end of round two as all the solid starters were flying off the board. At the end of Round 3 almost no starters were left. It was crazy. So don't go in expecting to get Pat and Lamar.Last edited by J411; 05-04-2020 at 02:31 PM.
