    Bodybuilding is effing boring...

    Been training pretty much exclusively for powerlifting for the last 6-7 years.

    On a cut now and sliding along the scale back to more of a bodybuilding routine.

    Added in biceps & triceps work again, higher rep bench, etc.

    Bored out of my skull.

    There's something exhilarating about going for that 1 rep max squat or deadlift that you will never get from bicep curls....


    Anyway I am down 15 lbs in 4 weeks.

    don't get too excited - it's mostly water weight. nobody cares how much you can lift.

    Sometimes I'll try a new supplement out and that will get me motivated to lift because I know I have this extra benefits from this particular supplement. A good preworkout with a special "stimulant" is always helpful too.

    Heavy Metal music while lifting is also recommended.

    Its okay but not as fun as the sports i mentioned. When I was bloatmaxing I lost 40lbs simply by running every single morning around the park. It was good to see a goal and reach it, and is a good form of cardio, but that's as far as it goes with me.

    Lol i couldn't imagine a world where BBing was boring. I've done powerlifting, oly lifting, bbing and powerlifting is by far the worst. The pump from bbing is the reason i can't wait to lift, and the rush i got from oly lifts made the gym super fun.     you could conjugate the chit out of some of your exercises. i.e one week do some barbell curls, second week do some incline DB curls, third week neutral grip curls, etc. that makes it more exciting while still working your biceps. switch up the reps/sets/weights. everyday feels like a new and exciting day to lift srs.

    using bands also makes things infinitely more exciting. i think it's a misconception that bands are only for powerlifting. go for some PRs on exercises you've never done before and cycle back to them after a few weeks and try to set new PRs.

    going for the pump wears thin imo and it's kinda mindless going for BB style but I think these things would probably keep you interested if you come from a powerlifting background.

    The addiction to bodybuilding began in college when i saw a direct relationship between the training and the change in the mirror. Think of our body like a lump of CLAY and you shape it session after session, week after week, month after month, and year after year. Set a Beach week goal, and shape it,then you will have tons of motivation.

    I dunno wtf beach week is, but I'm motivated to get lean for the first time since 2012, so I'll focus on that.

    Well i personally find that a goal and a time constraint makes the intensity,focus and interest higher.
    The only way to make bodybuilding training less boring is to challenge yourself with exercises that you have never done before.
    After 30 years bicep curls are boring.

    A "beach week goal" is what we used (end of May) to hurry and get in shape for our first trip to the ocean.
