    Bowflex HVT on off days

Hello first time posting but I’ve been reading this site for a while now.

I know everyone on here pretty much doesn’t like most things Bowflex. I agree with that as far as gaining muscle I prefer free weights.

My question is about the Bowflex HVT machine I have an opportunity to buy one used locally for a really good deal. I have been intrigued by this machine since they came out and have wanted one for nothing more than a quick cardio workout. Would it be a bad idea to use this machine in between lifting days as it uses resistance and typical lifting motions for the workouts. I am just worried about not giving my muscles enough time to rest in between. I lift 3 days a week and was just wanting to use this on the other 2 days while taking the weekends off.

    Thanks,
    Andy

Better to just go to the gym on those other 2 days
If you don't get what you want you didn't want it bad enough

Sorry I should have mentioned I don’t have a gym membership and only have time to train while my kids are in bed. I train 3 days a week at home with free weights currently.

What do you have? There are probably better options if you have space for more equipment.

Currently I have an elliptical machine and a wide range of dumbbells with an adjustable bench I want to eventually add a power rack and barbell to the mix but I saw this machine for sale and was intrigued by it for cardio.

If you want to mix it up with another cardio machine, I'd look at a rower or fan bike.

I agree, I have both, I prefer the C2, but the bike is nice to add some variety.
