    Beginner to creatine. Help?

Hey guys, im 19 and new to taking creatine. I've heard many things regarding creatine and caffeine. I drink coffee every day in the morning as soon as I wake up and SOMETIMES in the afternoon at about 1pm. I do not work out exactly after I drink coffee. Do I have to quit drinking coffee in order to experience the benefits of creatine? Will drinking coffee affect the creatine in a negative way? I also want to mention the ONLY liquids I drink is water, occasionally Gatorade, and my coffee. I drink plenty of water throughout the day.

Last question, when should I (if at all) stop taking creatine? I have heard of some people taking a week off creatine out of the month, and I have also read that you should stop it after 5 years of use?

Thank you for your time, it means a lot to me.

    You’re massively overthinking it.

5g/day, every day. No need to cycle.

5 g never worked for me. I found 10 worked great. I guess it depends on your body type.

First off you are better off getting as strong as possible, very slowly with correct form, nutrition, and recovery time. Once you are a few years in and cant get any stronger, than start taking supplements.

As far as creatine goes, you can slowly saturate your muscles over a few weeks with about 3G/D oppose to taking a ton at once. When you "Load", you are not adsorbing most of it, it will give you bowel issues. Dont think it will make you superman though. Just dont get as tired as fast because you have more fuel for the ATP-Pcr system.

No need to load, 5g/day every day or death.

For most people 3 Grams is enough but ya, that is what I was getting at. "Loading" is mostly just a market scheme to make you run out faster.
