    Abduction vs Adduction Strength

I am wondering how other women's strength compares in the Abduction (Bad Girls) exercise vs. the Adduction (Good Girls) exercise. My wife's Adduction is considerably stronger than her Abduction. Just wondering if this is normal...

Yeah it's weird. Looking at the machines side by side, with nobody using them, you can't really tell the difference. Actually using them though is a different story.

It means your wife is a good girl. She's a keeper!

I used to use those machines unironically. I still would if I went to a commercial gym. Adduction is much stronger. They're good machines, people (both men and women) assume they're vagina and ass hole machines but they're wrong, and in fact weak adductors are very common causes of sporting injuries (groin strains).

    Interesting.
It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.

It's easy to not be afraid of tigers when you're sitting in your living room watching a television program about tigers. When you're in the jungle where the tigers are, it's quite a different story.

    BenMcLeodNZ,

Is there an optimal time to do adduction exercises, E.g. pre or post workout?

I'd normally say I have no idea, but I suppose as a stabilizer it would be better to do it after a workout, pre-weakening a stabilizer before a big lift is asking for trouble even though you would get way more growth stimulus.

I'm more interested in preventing groin strains than eliciting a growth stimulus with an adductor exercise. Thank you.

Try lateral lunges instead of the adduction machine, along with forward and reverse lunges.

Thanks for the heads up regarding lunges. I do them occasionally, but not anywhere close to enough.

Sure, but I use growth stimulus and strength gain stimulus interchangeably.
